I “hoped” for a nice weekend, but I guess I should have known better. Whenever I hope or wish for something, it usually doesn’t happen… Anyways, so this is what I did this weekend –
I started my drive to Rochester Friday evening around 4pm. The weather was not doing me a favor that evening, so ended up reaching home around 11:30pm that night (usually takes 6hours to reach, but it took me 7.5hours on Friday)… I was too tired to do anything after the long drive, so went home, had dinner and slept.
Again, hoped for a better Saturday, but that didn’t happen… Woke up around 9:30am Saturday morning, helped Dad with some lawn work and then went to get some groceries for him. I took my old car for a ride so I can fill the fuel tank for Daddy. As I reached Wal-Mart, I was feeling very nauseous – don’t know why. I had to spend some quality time at Wal-Mart’s restroom so I can throw up to make myself feel better. Only when I thought nothing more could go wrong and got to my car to find out that it won’t start. Well, what can I say, I guess Murphy ’s Law does hold true – “Whatever can go wrong will go wrong, and at the worst possible time, in the worst possible way.” I had to call AAA, wait for them for about an hour, get the car towed, wait for my Dad’s colleague to give me a ride and then reach home around 3:30pm. Oh btw, I did not eat lunch before I left home in the morning, so I was STARVING. Anyways, so I got home, had my food, relaxed for a while, cleaned my car (after about 3months) and then went to the temple with my father (don’t get any ideas, I’m still an atheist, but just didn’t want to displease Daddy and make my day worse)…
Sunday was not too bad, but still the drive back wasn’t too pleasant. There was too much traffic near Albany area and the usual at Mass pike. And to add to this, there was a real bad accident (two cars and a motorcycle) that held up traffic in the pike for about 45minutes.
Oh and how can I forget – remember the headache I’ve been whining about since last week? Well, I still got it running in the background. It’s been haunting me forever since last Thursday afternoon. It was at its peak on Saturday, just to add flavor to all the other chaos, I guess.
Oh well, I am back home now – relaxing, planning my long weekend, talking to friends, and eagerly waiting for another week to start at work…
Hope you all had a better weekend story than mine
