No caller-id?

Hello…all set for six?

Yeah, I’ll see you at the library.

Library? No…the museum, remember?

Museum? That’s on the other side of the town…won’t help if we are to reach Ann’s by seven…come to the library, ok?

Ann, who? Who am I talking to?

David.

Oh, I’m sorry, I think I dialed the wrong number.

Lame, I know. But many such “wrong number calls” would’ve happened before the days of caller-id, I’m sure.

Have a great weekend, folks !

Lol… 🙂 Another thing that happened before caller ID — prank calls! Now unfortunately, people are able to track you down better!

oh yeah…i remember we used to get a lot of prank calls and Mom would get so furious…LOL

    have a nice weekend, Psych.

Before the days of “called-id”, creeps purposely dialed wrong numbers just to talk to girls and get their jolly. Even now, you can make caller id not to disclose your information. It will just say “private caller”. We have to counter that by programming our phones not accept “private caller”.

    hmm…
and yeah about making your number private and calling…i never pick up any private or unknown numbers.. :D.. i’m sure many people do that 😀

    LOL!!

    Happy weekend T!

Yea, crank calls, prank calls, blank calls! all these were common before caller-id came into picture!
Ah! those were the good times!! 😆

One could then sit with their friends and discuss in length, trying to guess which “cute” boy could have made that call!! when in all probability, it could also have been just a simple case of wrong dialing!!! 😀 😀

yeah good times 😆 ..but i don’t remember any cute guy ever prank calling me…or maybe i just don’t know ;-)…all were “wrong numbers”

lol…one serious disadvantage of “no caller id” [and no voice mails] was in case you missed a call. You would never know who called [unless the persona called again]. Have a great weekend.

yeah true… :D..you too have a nice weekend!

The prank , crank or the so-called wrong numbers can be real fun at times.
That’s very true the caller id of today might be helpful in countless ways but they are definitely ruining our small fun moments that we used to enjoy earlier.

I remember how much fun we all used to have narrating tales about ‘wrong number’ calls over and over to our family and friends.

    Great work at 55 fiction.

Hope you have a fantastic Halloween weekend.

    lol…true…

    Thanks, CB…you have fun!…Happy Halloween 😀

    Cheers!!

You are right in a way. Real life has unique ways to make things happen than these stereotypes 😀

Wrong sms not in that way. But someone had sent some angry sms meant for someone else to me. 😛

        angry sms – hahhaha…

      Total stranger 😛
I had called Mr.A, a client on his office phone, went on voicemail recorded by a female who dint say her name – just said ‘we are unable to take your call. Please leave a message’.
I thought its his wife (hey I was stressed out working OK) so left a voicemail. Guess who was the office joke that day???

rofl….did you get a call back from that stranger person? 😛

lol they have shown a detailed version of caller id disadvantages in “he’s just not that into you”.ohh there are definitely advantages you can avoid calls of boring ppl or your brain eating relatives!!yea those were the days 🙂 making prank calls and people ripping off their head!!abusing us and we not giving a dime to wat they are rambling about lolz!!technology suxx haha!!

haha…i’m extremely lazy when it comes to talking on ph…don’t like it much…i have only 2 or 3 people that i talk to regularly…including my parents and sis…lol..so no worries about the brain eating relatives or prank calls for me :P..anyway

    Thank you…and Welcome!
