Spring

Flowers bloom, snow melts,

birds feel merry in the arms of spring —

You are my spring, my angel.

———————

So that is supposed to be an Haiku :-P. I read about Haikus here and wanted to try. Not sure if I did it right or not, so if anyone  has more knowledge please do share. This was fun :-).

This is my entry for Carry On Tuesday #25 prompt – In the arms of an angel.

Though I have read and seen lots of bloggers trying out Haiku; somehow never felt confidence to try my hands on it. 😐

ohhh come on, BM…you are the one of the people i know for sure that can do it well….give it a try :D…just three lines 😀

Hey good one..though it didn’t rhyme and all but it sounded very nice…loving 🙂 I’m going to check now what’s this haiku… 🙂 But you wrote the feelings well 🙂

Ever wondered if a boy-friend steals your stuff too woo his girlfriend or vice a versa 🙂

Yours is that stuff ! 🙂

    thank you, Nu.. :D..

haiku doesn’t have a rhyme scheme, i read…it just has to have 5 syllables in the first line, 7 in the second and 5 in the third…and then a few other rules…that page i’ve linked up has a bit info on it.. 😀

    thanks again!

Brilliant! Loved it! Made my day! I am no expert but I liked it very much. To me the beauty of the haiku lies in the third line, where you completely change the context created by the first two lines. And, oh man, you did it so well. Simply brilliant!! For the first two lines it felt like a good description of early Spring and in my mind I was expecting the third line to conclude on the same happy note but then the third line came and blew everything away, suddnely flowers became dreams, hopes and snow was grief, sadness, and lack of enenrgy; the entire existence of one’s self was like a bird. Mindblowing!

You also had an additional challenge of using those predetermied words. Great job, really!

I love your poems and am totally taken away by this haiku. Keep them coming. It is superb!

As someone said earlier, you might want to periodically check if your work is not being copied and used withouth your consent.

    Keep sharing the brilliance! Cheers!

hey thank you for that lovely comment….you know a lot more about haiku than i do :-)…and that was actually an awesome explanation you’ve given there…i didn’t think of it soooo much…thank you sooooo much.
