Satisfaction is…

…joining the gym, working out for the sake of it, and then marching right to an Italian bakery to gorge on high cal pastries and yummy gelato.

One Single Impression: Prompt 172 – Miss (Long for)

Miss You

Memories of you invade my night.
I smile and sob as I reminisce the past.
Stars across the sky I use to write,
Stories of us, so forever they last.

You and I, the tale starts.
Of our love, grief and joy there are parts.
Undo I wish to do of your death to give hope to lovers’ hearts.

Carry On Tuesday # 109: Slipping through my fingers

When all I want is to hold on to you and shower you with love
why do I feel your hand slipping through my fingers?

How can I see you leave and just let go as you push and shove
when all I want is to hold on to you and shower you with love?

What about the future, the hopes and dreams that we wove?
Why am I left to live with only the memory that lingers?

When all I want is to hold on to you and shower you with love
why do I feel your hand slipping through my fingers?

Haiku Heights: Prompt #47 – Slavery

A bird caught in cage

yearns to fly high, up above in sky –

cut the chains of slavery!

Sunday Scribblings: #271 – The Next Step

Stress

Simple joys are overlooked.

Tensions rise with every word.

Relaxation is a distant dream.

Exhaustion finds a permanent abode.

Struggle gets a new meaning with every passing second.

Search is on for the next step, a better tomorrow.

One Single Impression – Prompt 171: Endure

Pain –

so grave,

so brutal,

as I walk past

memories of you.

Every stone, every leaf

tells a story of days that were.

With every step comes a tear

and my heart yearns for your presence here, now.

Had I known your time was short in this world

I would have shared some of my years with you.

Why was I never given that chance?

Of what use is this time without you?

At least if there was some hope

of seeing you one more time

I’ll endure it all

with a big smile

and not drown

in any

pain.
