Sunday Scribblings: #269 – flock

We were

strangers

in a flock

until our paths

crossed one fine day.

Our eyes aligned;

our smiles spoke silent words;

our hearts dreamed of the days to come;

our souls craved to unite in love;

but our thoughts, oh! why were they so different?

While I cherished each moment with joy

your happiness was in the tomorrow.

You chose to move fast way ahead

while I wanted to slow down.

What was I to do but

to let go of my love

until we became

strangers in a

flock with

time!

    The words mean so much here T. We all start out as strangers and we have all let go of friends for one reason or another. So these words touch that forgotten string.

    Beautiful.

    thanks!
